Cape Elizabeth Historical Preservation Society:

The CEHPS collects and preserves historic artifacts and documents, and serves as a resource for information pertaining to Cape Elizabeth history.

Our location at Fort Williams currently houses the Cape Elizabeth History Center and the Fort Williams Museum. Our office and records are also located here. You can tour the two museums or make an appointment to search through our holdings for historical or genealogical information. 

We are now open Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to noon.

The annual membership fee is only $25.00, and is due the first of September. If you pay your dues in June - August, your membership will last through the following year.

The Cape Elizabeth Historical Preservation Society is a tax exempt 501(c) (3) organization. Donors can deduct contributions they make to us under IRC Section 170. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
